Quantum Leap Star Dean Stockwell Dies at 85

Dean Stockwell, former star of "Quantum Leap" has died. He was 85.

Stockwell's career lasted over 70 years, most notably starring as Admiral Al Calavicci in "Quantum Leap" alongside Scott Bakula from 1989-1993. The Emmy and Oscar Award nominee also starred in, among many other things, "Battlestar Galactica", "JAG, and "NCIS: New Orleans", "Anchors Aweigh", "Gentleman's Agreement", and "The Boy With the Green Hair".

Born in 1936 in North Hollywood, Stockwell began his career at the age of 7 on Broadway. His acting career continued until 2015 when he retired. He then began an art career, exhibiting his work around the country.

Stockwell died in his home of natural causes. He is survived by his wife, Joy Stockwell, and their two children, Austin Stockwell and Sophie Stockwell.
