CODA Heading to Theaters for Limited Free Viewings

It has been announced that "CODA", the first film that stars a mostly deaf cast to earn a nomination for Best Picture, will now be available to watch for free in theatres from Friday, February 25 to Sunday, February 27.

The film will be available in theaters throughout the United States and in London. There will also be one showing in Los Angeles that will feature a live Q&A with the director, Siân Heder, and the cast.

In a statement, Apple's Head of Features, Matt Dentler, said, "Every so often, a film comes along that strikes a deep emotional chord for audiences who celebrate its win for humanity. CODA does just that. Siân and the amazing cast and crew of 'CODA' gave the world a gift with this film, and we are inspired to pass this gift on."

The film, which currently has a 96% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, follows the story of a high schooler that is the only member of her family that has her hearing. We see her struggle with the responsibilities she has in her family and how to prepare for her future.
