A "Prince of Tides" series is said to be in the works by director Tate Taylor for Apple. It's said to be in the very early development stages.
The 1991 film starred Barbra Streisand and Nick Nolte and followed the story of a psychiatrist who finds an unlikely love match with a client's twin brother. The film, which was also directed by Streisand, was a huge critical and box office success.
The film was based on the Pat Conroy novel of the same name.
