King Kong Series in the Works at Disney+

The King of Skull Island will be making a home at Disney+. It's been announced that Disney Branded Television has a King Kong series in the works for the streamer.

The action-adventure drama series will explore the origin of the iconic monster and his Skull Island home.

Stephany Folsom is the writer for the project, and will executive produce alongside James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett for Atomic Monster and Dannie Festa and Marc Manus for World Builder Entertainment.

The character of King Kong has survived for almost 90 years in Hollywood and has spawned numerous film and TV projects. Most recently, we saw him in 2021's "Godzilla vs. Kong".
