Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan Want a Freaky Friday Sequel

"Freaky Friday" fans, rejoice! We could be getting a sequel to the 2003 film.

"There is no scheduled date, but we're talking. People are talking. The right people are talking," said Jamie Lee Curtis, who starred in the film alongside Lindsay Lohan.

"I'm 64 in a week and Lindsay is 36…[A sequel] lends itself so beautifully," Curtis added. "We're both committed to it, and it's not ours to make. It's Disney's to make and I think they're interested and we're talking."

The film is based on the 1972 novel of the same name, written by Mary Rodgers. It earned over $160 million at the box office on a modest $26 million budget.

Lohan earned much praise for her performance in the film, with film critic Courtney Howard saying after the release, "Lohan gives her character, who in lesser hands could have been one-note, a soulful sense of humor, vulnerability and verve. She's hilarious when tasked to play completely insufferable, flexing her comedic muscularity when pratfalling over a Barcalounger or down a slick set of stairs."

Let's hope the duo can make this a reality!
