Explore Iceland's Thingvellir National Park with Disney+ and National Geographic on Apple Vision Pro

Starting today, Disney+ subscribers can explore a new immersive experience from National Geographic through the Disney+ app on Apple Vision Pro. This exciting feature will transport users to the stunning landscapes of Thingvellir National Park in Iceland. This marks National Geographic's first immersive project for Apple Vision Pro.

Additionally, Disney+ is releasing four more 3D films from Marvel Studios: "Avengers," "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Ant-Man," and "Ant-Man and the Wasp" for subscribers to enjoy.

The new National Geographic environment invites Disney+ subscribers on Apple Vision Pro to discover the unique rocky terrain of Thingvellir National Park on a snowy winter day. Viewers can interact with their surroundings and enjoy sounds that bring the setting to life. This UNESCO World Heritage site, beautifully captured by National Geographic photographers, serves as the backdrop for Disney+ content, all under a stunning nighttime aurora.

National Geographic collaborated with Disney Studio Technology to develop and produce the immersive environment, utilizing high-resolution 3D models created on-site through photogrammetry and gigapixel panoramas. The teams partnered with Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology to bring this experience to Disney+.
