In honor of the 30th anniversary of the beloved animated film "A Goofy Movie", Disney is inviting fans to step into the spotlight-literally-with the debut of a groundbreaking virtual reality recreation of the film's unforgettable concert finale. Featuring the electrifying performance of "I2I" by fictional music icon Powerline, this all-new VR experience transports viewers into the heart of the action, offering a fully immersive, on-stage perspective of the show that captured the hearts of audiences in 1995.

Blending cutting-edge virtual reality technology with the nostalgic charm of hand-drawn animation, Disney has reimagined the iconic climactic scene in an entirely new dimension. This modernized retelling allows fans to experience what it's like to be at a sold-out Powerline concert-feeling the lights, the sound, and the energy of the crowd, while witnessing the memorable journey of Goofy and his son Max unfold all around them.

Since its original release three decades ago, "A Goofy Movie" has grown from a modest box office hit into a certified cult classic, cherished for its heartwarming father-son narrative, infectious music, and sincere emotional core. Over the years, it has evolved into a generational touchstone, leaving a lasting impact on Disney's animated legacy and pop culture at large. Now, thanks to this newly launched virtual reality experience, fans can relive one of the film's most iconic moments like never before-stepping not just into the story, but onto the stage itself.

In the VR video, viewers are immersed in the vibrant, high-energy performance of Powerline-voiced by Grammy-nominated R&B artist Tevin Campbell-as he performs "I2I," the film's signature anthem. Rather than following the original film's camera angles or focusing solely on Goofy and Max's behind-the-scenes misadventures, the VR format gives audiences a front-row view of the entire performance. At the same time, snippets of the duo's comedic and heartfelt antics play out in the periphery. As the number reaches its climax, Max and Goofy leap onto the stage, joining Powerline in a triumphant finale that brings fans full circle, both emotionally and visually.

The anthem even received a contemporary twist last year when pop-punk group Magnolia Park released a cover version for Disney's A Whole New Sound compilation album.

The VR concert includes several unique features designed to enhance the viewing experience:

 * Fully Immersive 360° Environment: Viewers can explore the concert from every angle, from the roaring audience to the dazzling stage lights, all in a seamless VR landscape.

 * Fan-Favorite Characters and Cameos: Beloved characters such as Goofy, Max, Powerline, and even Bigfoot make appearances throughout the experience, along with a few surprises for eagle-eyed fans.

 * Technological Marvel: A modern reimagining of classic 2D animation within a VR framework, transforming the concert into a "theater-in-the-round" spectacle.

 * Interactive Easter Eggs: Discover hidden gags, callbacks, and visual surprises scattered throughout the performance with each rewatch.

 * Spatial Audio Innovation: A dynamic, 360-degree audio mix that adapts to your movement and positioning, placing you squarely in the center of the soundscape.

This ambitious project was realized in collaboration with the Brooklyn-based animation studio Cartuna, known for its creative approach to hybrid and experimental animation formats. The full VR concert is now available to stream on YouTube, giving fans everywhere the opportunity to celebrate "A Goofy Movie"'s enduring legacy from the comfort of their own homes or VR headsets.
