Disney Branded Television has officially announced that "Camp Rock 3" is on the way, reigniting one of the most beloved Disney Channel Original Movie franchises of all time. The film, now in production in Vancouver, will debut on both Disney+ and Disney Channel, giving fans old and new a chance to return to the iconic summer camp where music, friendships, and dreams collide.
The Jonas Brothers - Joe, Nick, and Kevin - are set to reprise their fan-favorite roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, members of the band Connect 3. Demi Lovato, whose breakout role as Mitchie Torres helped launch her career in the original film, returns as an executive producer alongside the Jonas Brothers, promising a movie that honors the legacy of the franchise while bringing fresh energy to a new generation of fans.
The third installment introduces a vibrant cast of newcomers who will step into the spotlight. Rising star Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland) takes on the role of Sage, a determined camper with big dreams. Malachi Barton (ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires) plays camp troublemaker Fletch, while Hudson Stone makes his acting debut as Desi, Sage's easygoing brother. Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom) portrays Rosie, a gifted cello prodigy, with Casey Trotter (The Thundermans) as Cliff, a drummer determined to carve his own beat. Completing the lineup are Brooklynn Pitts as choreographer extraordinaire Callie and Ava Jean as Madison, a sharp-tongued influencer who knows how to command attention.
Alongside the Jonas Brothers, returning cast member Maria Canals-Barrera (Wizards of Waverly Place) reprises her role as Connie, while Sherry Cola (Joyride) stars in a brand-new role as Lark, adding another layer to the evolving Camp Rock universe.
This time around, Connect 3 is preparing for a high-profile reunion tour when disaster strikes: their opening act drops out. In search of the next big thing, the brothers return to the place that started it all - Camp Rock. What begins as a chance to reconnect with their roots turns into an intense competition as campers battle for the opportunity of a lifetime. Friendships are put to the test, rivalries form, and unexpected alliances spark, all against the backdrop of music, romance, and self-discovery.
Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, expressed excitement for the project, saying, "Camp Rock is an important part of the Disney Channel Original Movie legacy, with unforgettable music, energetic storytelling, and characters that live in the hearts of fans to this day. Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick, and Demi is such a full-circle moment, and we can't wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation."
The "Camp Rock" franchise made its debut in 2008, quickly climbing the ranks as one of the most-watched Disney Channel Original Movies ever. Its sequel, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" (2010), continued the trend, with both films becoming No. 1 cable premieres in their release years. Beyond television success, "Camp Rock" launched music that topped the charts, propelled careers, and inspired countless sing-alongs, dance routines, and viral social media moments that remain relevant over 15 years later.
The new film is helmed by director Veronica Rodriguez (The Slumber Party) and written by Eydie Faye (Slumber Party). Choreography is led by acclaimed Jamal Sims, ensuring the musical numbers will deliver the high-energy performances fans expect. Executive producers include Tim Federle (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), alongside the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh.
