Ahead of Bridgerton Season 4, two elegant new ice cream flavors bring Regency-era indulgence to the dessert table

Ahead of Bridgerton Season 4 debuting on Netflix, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream revealed two new specialty ice creams. These elegant, sophisticated flavors capture the grandeur and extravagance of Bridgerton’s world. A spot of tea and a scone is replaced by a luscious dessert served regally in a bowl.

For the fourth Bridgerton season, Netflix and Shondaland divided the episodes into two drops. Jeni’s mirrors those debuts with its specialty ice cream offerings. The first flavor will be available on January 15, and the second flavor will follow in February.

The first flavor, Queen Charlotte Sponge Cake, is inspired by the royally elegant monarch. Starting with a brown sugar and almond buttercream base, the ice cream is swirled with a bright, slightly tart raspberry jam. Additionally, delicate pieces of honey sponge cake stud the dessert.

Although this dessert is far different from a traditional “Charlotte,” it has strong flavor ties to English treats. From the airy sponge to the bright jam, these ingredients are classic. While never as dense as a scone, it is an ice cream that would pair well with an afternoon tea.

The most curious element is the color. The subtle lavender hue assumes a floral infusion. But, the color is just for show. This dessert is not a bowl of potpourri, nor does it have the aroma of a lavender field. The subtle color infers a royal affluence.

As the first offering, Jeni’s makes a statement with this ice cream flavor. Many food brands have focused on strong visuals to captivate an audience. By avoiding shades of beige, this dessert will be a centerpiece of many photos, which will entice more people to place an order.

Jeni’s second ice cream drop, Earl Grey Crème Brulee, arrives in February. It will be available online starting on February 9 and in scoop shops on February 12.

The Earl Grey Crème Brûlée is quite nuanced. While the salted custard makes this ice cream approachable to a larger audience, the bergamot brings subtle juiciness to enhance its complexity. With a hint of floral, it is well-balanced.

This flavor would be delicious in an ice cream sandwich. Nestled between two shortbread cookies, it would be a sophisticated take on the classic dessert. Even coating the edges in a mint sugar would make the flavors shine.

Netflix understands the importance of food collaborations. From coffee creamers to cookies, shows like Stranger Things, Emily in Paris, and many others appreciate that fans want to devour the stories both on and off the screen. Smart food crossovers enhance the viewing experience and keep the connection going long after the credits scroll.

Jeni’s saw success with its Ted Lasso Biscuits with the Boss flavor. Given Bridgerton’s fan base, these new specialty ice cream flavors should be equally successful.

Bridgerton Season 4, Part 1 debuts on Netflix on January 29. Part 2 debuts on February 26.
