Madame Tussauds Expands the Jumanji Universe with an Immersive 4D Adventure

Jumanji’s fantastical stories excite audiences across generations. This brand-new experience delights guests with the franchise’s next chapter. In this short film, Jumanji: Safari Tours 4D, audiences are treated to a total cinematic experience that plunges them into a safari unlike any other.

Debuting at five Madame Tussauds locations this summer, Jumanji: Safari Tours 4D allows audiences to step into a chaotic, comedic adventure. A collaboration between Merlin Entertainments, Pure Imagination, and Sony Pictures Experiences, the seven-minute film offers a glimpse into the unexpected world of Jumanji and the animals living in it.

Led by Rhys Darby (Nigel), the new, original scenes invite the audience to step into an immersive jungle tour. Unlike the spirited game, the Madame Tussauds guests will always have an exit strategy at the end of their tour.

Speaking about the new short 4D film, Chris Drazba at Sony Pictures Experiences said: “Jumanji is a franchise that continues to captivate audiences across generations through its sense of adventure, humour and high-stakes action. In partnership with Merlin Entertainments, we’re excited to bring that spirit to life in an original new 4D cinematic experience, a first for the franchise, at Madame Tussauds, giving fans a thrilling new way to step deeper into the lore of Jumanji.”

“This 4D movie experience expands the storytelling and blurs the line between reality and creativity.”

By using 4D effects, the specialty film immerses the audience in the signature game realm. From navigating the perils of dangerous hippos to facing the mischievous mandrill, these animals jump off the screen in lifelike adaptations. With motion, wind, and even a little rain, guests are swept away into the Jumanji adventure.

While Madame Tussauds offers visitors the opportunity to see their favorite celebrities in a new light, this 4D movie experience enhances the attraction. Even if most people will never step foot onto a movie set or stage, these 4D immersive movies expand the storytelling. It seamlessly blurs the line between reality and creativity.

Choosing Jumanji is a smart decision since the story is beloved by all ages. From older guests who remember Robin Williams in the starring role to the newer comedic banter from Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, all generations appreciate the wonder where the video game world becomes an epic adventure with real consequences.

Jumanji: Safari Tours 4D debuts this summer at Madame Tussauds locations in Hollywood, Las Vegas, London, New York, and Singapore. The movie is included in the admission price. It is unclear whether this movie will be available at other locations in the future.

Intrepid explorers anxiously await Jumanji: Open World. The new film from Sony Pictures will premiere on December 25, 2026.
