Tom Holland and Zendaya thrilled Marvel fans in Paris as Sony Pictures celebrated Spider-Man: Brand New Day ahead of its summer release.

The countdown to one of 2026's biggest movie releases reached another milestone on June 24 as Tom Holland and Zendaya arrived in Paris to celebrate Spider-Man: Brand New Day during a special fan event organized by Sony Pictures and UGC at UGC Ciné Cité Bercy. Ahead of the film's July 29 release in France, just two days before its North American debut, hundreds of Marvel fans gathered in the French capital to welcome the stars of the next chapter in Spider-Man's story.

Paris has become an increasingly important stop for major Hollywood promotional tours, and the event once again demonstrated the city's importance for international blockbuster campaigns. Spider-Man costumes, Marvel merchandise, and enthusiastic cheers filled the venue as fans celebrated one of popular culture's most recognizable superheroes.

Tom Holland and Zendaya brought Spider-Man excitement to Paris as Marvel fans celebrated the beginning of a new chapter.

Despite temperatures approaching 40 degrees Celsius during France's summer heatwave, fans began arriving long before sunrise, with some even camping overnight to secure the best possible viewing spots. The free Spider-Fanzone welcomed approximately one thousand visitors before Tom Holland and Zendaya finally appeared on stage shortly after 7:15 p.m., prompting an explosion of applause from the crowd.

Inside the cinema, one hundred UGC Illimité subscribers received an exclusive presentation of the brand-new trailer before attending a special screening of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The event created a natural bridge between Peter Parker's emotional farewell in the previous film and the new beginning awaiting audiences this summer. Although the enormous attendance resulted in long queues throughout the day, the atmosphere remained overwhelmingly positive as fans described the experience as a rare opportunity to see both stars together in person.

Beyond the Paris celebration, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks one of the character's most significant creative resets since Spider-Man: No Way Home. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Justin Kuritzkes, the story follows Peter Parker four years after sacrificing his identity to save the multiverse.

Now living alone in New York, Peter has stepped away from the advanced technology and global superhero alliances that previously defined his journey, returning instead to the neighborhood hero first imagined by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Kevin Feige has described the film as presenting "the real Spider-Man," with Peter sewing his own costume, building his own gadgets, listening to police scanners, and confronting street-level crime instead of universe-ending threats.

The story also introduces mysterious biological changes affecting Spider-Man's abilities, a development that has already prompted comic-book fans to compare the film with storylines such as The Other and The Six Arms Saga.

The cast reflects this fresh direction while maintaining strong ties to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alongside Tom Holland and Zendaya, the film stars Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo, bringing together familiar faces alongside several new additions.

Principal photography took place between August and December 2025, with Glasgow doubling for New York City and additional filming completed at Pinewood Studios. Behind the camera, cinematographer Brett Pawlak and Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino reunite to help shape the film's visual and emotional identity, while Tom Holland reportedly contributed more creatively than ever before by helping develop Peter Parker's next chapter.

Early audience enthusiasm has matched the scale of the production. The first trailer generated more than 718 million views during its first twenty-four hours before surpassing one billion views within four days, while advance ticket sales have become the strongest for a Spider-Man film since Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Judging by the reception in Paris, excitement surrounding Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to grow. By returning Peter Parker to his neighborhood roots while introducing new challenges and familiar faces, the film appears ready to launch the next era of Marvel's iconic web-slinger.
