Johnny Five IS alive... and coming back to the big screen with a little help from Dimension Films. "Short Circuit", the hit movie that came out in 1986, is being remade and the original script writers, S.S. Wilson and Brent Maddock are coming back also.

"Short Circuit" followed the story of Number 5, a robot built by the military to be a highly sophisticated weapon. After being hit by lightning, it developed a conscience and a personality and made friends with some humans who helped him fight against his makers who were trying to destroy him.

There are currently no details about when production will begin on the film.
