Take Back The Night co-writer, producer, and director, Gia Elliot, discusses what led her to want to tell this story and the importance of an all-female cast with FlickDirect's Allison Rose.
Allison attended Hofstra University where she earned her bachelor's degree in communications. She is a Tomatometer-Approved Critic, a member of SEFCA, Florida Film Critics Circle, and the Society of Professional Journalists. ABOUT TAKE BACK THE NIGHT
Finding herself the victim of a violent monster attack, Jane launches a vigilante campaign to hunt the beast that tried to kill her. Jane’s efforts intensify, but her troubling history of drug use and mental illness bubbles to the surface causing her family, friends, and authorities to question the authenticity of her account. Suddenly alone in her fight, Jane starts to doubt her own memory of the attack and to doubt if the Monster even exists at all. Frightening and thought-provoking, TAKE BACK THE NIGHT seamlessly weaves its trenchant social critiques into a brilliantly effective and downright gripping horror thrill ride.
