Widow's Bay (2026)

Mayor Tom Loftis has big plans for Widow’s Bay, a remote New England island whose declining economy and superstitious residents have made progress nearly impossible. Determined to transform the isolated community into a thriving tourist destination, Tom dismisses the locals’ warnings about an ancient curse, unreliable communications, and strange occurrences that have haunted the island for generations. His efforts finally begin paying off when visitors arrive, bringing the promise of prosperity to a town that has spent decades resisting change.

But the island’s unsettling reputation proves far more than local folklore when inexplicable events begin disrupting everyday life. As increasingly disturbing incidents threaten the community and its newfound visitors, Tom must confront the possibility that the legends he ridiculed are terrifyingly real. Created by Katie Dippold and starring Matthew Rhys, Widow’s Bay combines supernatural horror, dark comedy, and small-town eccentricity in a story about ambition, denial, and the dangers of awakening something best left undisturbed.
