Doogie Howser, M.D. will be getting a reboot. The series will be brought back by Disney+ and will feature a female lead. The series' working title is Doogie Kealoha, M.D.
The original series premiered in 1989 and ran for four seasons. It starred Neil Patrick Harris as Doogie Howser, dealing with the trials of being a teenage physician.
The reboot will follow the story of 16-year old Doogie Kealoha and will take place in Hawaii. It hails from producer Kourtney Kang and 20th Century Fox TV.
