Paramount Plus has ordered a "Fatal Attraction" series with Lizzy Caplan set to star. The series will be a reimagining of the 1987 film that starred Michael Douglas and Glenn Close.
Caplan will play the role of Alex, previously played by Close, who becomes obsessed with a man after a brief affair.
Alexandra Cunningham will act as series showrunner and will also write and executive produce.
Nicole Clemens, president of Paramount Plus original scripted series, said, "Alexandra brings an incredibly strong and nuanced point of view to a story that became a cultural phenomenon but has thus far only been told from the male gaze. Partnered with Kevin, they will bring the next explosive chapter of this story to a new generation with a balanced eye to the complexities of the human psyche."
Lizzy Caplan is best known for her TV roles in "Castle Rock", "Masters of Sex", and "True Blood".
