Casting has been set for the second season of Hulu's "Castle Rock", the horror series based on the fictional town of Stephen King's creation.
The new season will star Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), who will play a young Annie Wilkes, a nurse and superfan battling with mental illness issues; Tim Robbins (Here and Now), who will play Reginald "Pop" Merrill, the dying patriarch of a crime family; Garrett Hedlund (Mosaic), who will play John "Ace" Merril, the bully son of Pop who is taking over his father's businesses; Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade), who will play Joy, Annie's home-schooled teenage daughter; Yusra Warsama (Assassin's Creed: Origins), who will play Dr. Nadia Omar, a hospital director in Jerusalem's Lot; Barkhad Abdi (Blade Runner 2049), who will play Nadia's older brother heavily who is involved in the Somali community; and Matthew Alan (13 Reasons Why), who will play Chris Merrill, pop's nephew who tries to keep the peace between the Merrill's and the Somali community.
The series is executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson, Dustin Thomason, Vince Calandra, Sam Shaw, Stephen King, and Liz Glotzer. Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason are the developers and also executive produce.
