"Tim Burton's 'Beetlejuice 2' Gets Release Date: Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder Return Alongside New Cast Member Justin Theroux"

Warner Bros. has announced the release date for Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice 2", and fans will be excited to know that it will be released in theaters on September 6, 2024.

The sequel to the classic 1988 original has been eagerly anticipated after years of speculation. Michael Keaton will return as the title character alongside Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, Jenna Ortega as her daughter, and a new announcement to the cast - Justin Theroux. No word yet on what role Theroux will play.

Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B, is producing the film, with Burton returning to direct.  Mike Vukadinovich has penned the screenplay.

In the original film, Beetlejuice is a mischievous and obnoxious ghost, who helps a recently deceased couple, played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, haunt their former home and scare away the new living residents. The movie gained a cult following due to its dark humor, unique visual style, and memorable performances by the cast. It also received critical acclaim and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Makeup. It has also been adapted into a stage musical.

The new film will pick up where the first left off and promises to deliver more of the mischievous antics that made the original such a hit. Although details about the plot and characters are scarce, fans can expect more of the same off-kilter humor and macabre storytelling that made the original so beloved.
