Apple TV+'s "Tehran" has been given a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement in the midst of the current strike. This means that they will be allowed to continue filming.
The Israeli-led spy thriller isn't the only production that has been given this agreement - "The Watchers", Sam Raimi's "Don't Move", and "The Chosen" have also been granted the waiver.
"Tehran" was created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden, and Maor Kohn and is produced by Donna and Shula Productions. It follows the story of an Iranian-Jewish Mossad agent on her first mission in Iran's capital Tehran, which is also the place of her birth. It was renewed for a third season in February, however, filing had stopped last week.
The series is the first-ever Israeli series to be awarded for best drama series at the International Emmys. Niv Sultan takes the lead role in the series, portraying a skilled hacker agent who penetrates the heart of Tehran, Iran, using a fake identity. In the second season, the show welcomed Glenn Close, and now, in its third season, Hugh Laurie joins the cast as well.
