Apple TV+ sci-fi thriller "Silo" has been put on indefinite hiatus due to the ongoing Hollywood strikes.
"Silo" was developed by the talented Graham Yost and draws inspiration from Hugh Howey's celebrated Wool novel series. The show paints a vivid picture of a future society grappling with the challenges of a dystopian regime. At the core of the narrative lies a massive underground silo, a community comprising an astonishing 144 levels. It is within this mysterious structure that the plot unfolds, offering a thrilling and suspenseful journey for viewers.
Rebecca Ferguson delivers a compelling performance as the lead protagonist, an engineer who finds herself entangled in the enigmatic secrets concealed within the silo. Alongside Ferguson, the series boasts a star-studded cast, including Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Common, Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Avi Nash, Rick Gomez, and Chinaza Uche, each contributing their talents to bring the story to life.
In addition to "Silo," another Apple TV+ series, "Foundation," is also expected to be impacted by the ongoing Hollywood strikes. As labor disputes continue, delays or uncertainties are bound to occur with more shows.
