Today, Fandango, the premier online movie ticketing service in the country, unveiled a new feature on its platform. This innovative addition allows cinema enthusiasts to easily pre-order concessions alongside their advance ticket purchases. Initially, this feature will debut with AMC Theatres® (NYSE: AMC), the largest theatrical exhibitor worldwide, with plans to expand to additional exhibitors in the future.

Fandango's latest pre-order concessions feature presents moviegoers with the opportunity to explore a diverse range of tempting food and beverage options available on the AMC menu. They can place their orders in advance, either at the time of booking their tickets or closer to the movie showtime. Additionally, patrons can make multiple purchases linked to their ticket transaction and extend this convenience to their companions. Upon reaching the theater, movie buffs can bypass the queues and proceed directly to the designated pickup area to retrieve their pre-ordered items. At AMC DINE-IN locations, guests can have their selections delivered straight to their seats, ensuring an uninterrupted movie experience. Furthermore, AMC Stubs members can now earn and redeem benefits for concessions on Fandango, adding extra value to their moviegoing experience.

"We are excited to collaborate with AMC Theatres to bring these exciting new concessions offering to our users," said Jerramy Hainline, EVP of Fandango. "At Fandango, our goal is to super-serve consumers with all their moviegoing needs, and launching the ability to pre-order concessions on our platform is another important step to bring even more convenience and joy to moviegoers."

"This is a great advancement for Fandango users and AMC patrons. Moviegoers routinely take advantage of the opportunity to preorder their favorite AMC food and drink selections through the AMC mobile app and website. We are thrilled that our guests now have this option through the Fandango platform," said Ellen Copaken, SVP, Marketing, AMC Theatres. "We're also very excited about the ability of AMC Stubs members to earn and use loyalty benefits for concessions on Fandango, as they already do for tickets. This is another wonderful membership perk for our many AMC Stubs members who utilize the Fandango ticketing platform."

As per Fandango's recently published 2024 Moviegoing Trends and Insights Study, which surveyed over 6,000 movie enthusiasts, a staggering 96% of general ticket buyers affirmed their concession purchases at theaters within the last year. Given the integral role concessions play in the cinematic experience, there is a noticeable uptick in pre-ordering concessions, with 1 in 4 general ticket buyers having experimented with it previously, and an impressive 97% expressing satisfaction with the process.

Fandango remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring moviegoer satisfaction by developing cutting-edge technological solutions and robust functionalities. This dedication is aimed at addressing both current needs and anticipating future requirements of consumers and industry partners alike. Looking ahead, the company has ambitious plans to broaden its concessions offerings to encompass more exhibitors, ranging from major chains to independent theaters. This expansion initiative will provide millions of movie enthusiasts with the convenience of pre-ordering both tickets and their favorite concessions through a unified platform.
