It's been reported that Sylvester Stallone is close to finalizing a deal to reprise his role in Paramount+'s hit drama series Tulsa King for at least two additional seasons. This agreement would secure Stallone's involvement for Seasons 3 and 4, though the show has not yet received an official renewal from the network. Stallone, who also serves as an executive producer, has been instrumental in the series' success.
Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight "The General" Manfredi (Stallone) as he rebuilds his life after serving a 25-year prison sentence. Exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, by his boss, Dwight realizes his mob family may no longer have his best interests at heart. Determined to establish a new criminal empire, he assembles a team of unlikely allies in a town that feels completely foreign to him.
The series features an ensemble cast alongside Stallone, including Jay Will, Max Casella, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Garrett Hedlund, Vincent Piazza, Dana Delany, and Annabella Sciorra. Notable additions Neal McDonough and Frank Grillo joined in Season 2, enriching the storyline with fresh dynamics.
Created by Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan, Tulsa King is Stallone's first regular television role. Season 2, launched in September, has been well-received, boasting a flawless 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Executive producers for the show include Sheridan, Terence Winter, Stallone, and several others under the banner of MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
Representatives for Paramount declined to comment on the potential deal.
