David Fincher’s 1999 cult classic gets a one-night-only nationwide re-release before its 4K Ultra HD debut at home.

Fight Club is heading back to the big screen for a special one-night-only nationwide theatrical re-release on April 22, giving audiences the opportunity to experience David Fincher’s 1999 drama in newly restored 4K. The event arrives just weeks before the film’s home entertainment debut on 4K Ultra HD Steelbook and 4K Digital on May 12.

Directed by David Fincher and adapted from the novel by Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club remains one of the most provocative and culturally resonant films of its era. Anchored by performances from Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter, the film challenged late 1990s studio filmmaking with its daring structure, striking visual style, and sharp commentary on consumerism, identity, and disillusionment.

The new 4K restoration highlights Fincher’s meticulous craftsmanship. Known for its shadowy cinematography, razor-sharp editing, and immersive sound design, the film has been remastered to deliver heightened clarity, deeper contrast, and enhanced audio presentation designed to replicate the intensity of its original theatrical impact.

For longtime fans, the re-release offers the rare chance to revisit the volatile world of Tyler Durden and the unnamed narrator on the big screen. For newer audiences, it provides an opportunity to encounter one of modern cinema’s most debated works in the format that best supports its visual and sonic design.

Since its initial theatrical run, Fight Club has evolved from a polarizing studio release into a defining cult phenomenon. Its influence can be seen across generations of filmmakers, and its themes continue to spark conversation more than two decades later.

Following the theatrical event, collectors can bring the film home beginning May 12. The 4K Ultra HD Steelbook edition will feature premium packaging tailored to collectors, while the 4K Digital edition expands accessibility across platforms. Both formats preserve the film’s uncompromising storytelling and technical precision in high definition.

In conjunction with the anniversary celebration, New Regency has partnered with Insight Editions on a Fight Club 25th Anniversary art book. The volume is expected to include previously unseen imagery, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes material exploring the film’s production and enduring cultural footprint. Additional details are forthcoming.

Founded in 1991, New Regency has built a reputation for filmmaker-driven storytelling, producing titles such as Bohemian Rhapsody, The Revenant, 12 Years a Slave, and Heat. The company continues to develop high-profile film and television projects across major studios and platforms.

20th Century Studios, the distributor behind Fight Club, remains one of Hollywood’s most storied banners. Now part of The Walt Disney Company, the studio’s legacy includes franchises such as Avatar, Alien, Planet of the Apes, Predator, and Die Hard, alongside award-winning films spanning decades of cinematic history.
