Dippin’ Dots Debuts New Galaxy Pop Flavor in Collaboration with The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

As excitement builds for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, people devour every little taste, crumb, and spoonful of specialty-themed food. Luckily, no one has to spend an epic sum to cross into the Mario world to enjoy this new Dippin’ Dots flavor. The new Galaxy Pop mystery flavor delights fans with a surprise in every order.

While many movie launches involve curious popcorn buckets and even specialty fountain drinks, fans crave these treats outside of the theater. Food brands continue to add specialty, limited-edition offerings. From store shelves to restaurants, the pop culture crossover continues to grow.

Recently, Dippin’ Dots launched a limited-time Galaxy Pop mystery flavor. It is available at various locations, including malls, movie theaters, and select entertainment destinations. The food brand’s signature beaded ice cream is colorful, flavorful, and playful.

Although the brand did not reveal the “mystery,” the twist is one that has everyone talking. In some ways, solving the mystery is like mastering a level in the iconic video games.

According to Kimmra Hingher, Vice President of Marketing at Dippin’ Dots and ICEE, “We wanted this to feel playful and a little unexpected. The mystery behind Galaxy Pop, along with the collectibles, gives fans something new to discover, whether they're stopping by a Dippin’ Dots location or heading to theaters for the new The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.”

Galaxy Pop ice cream mystery flavor is available now through April 30. The collectible movie-themed spoons are available through April 30, while supplies last. There are three designs. Availability and pricing may vary for the ice cream.

Additionally, ICEE Company will offer a specialty flavor in honor of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Power Cherry and a Peach Freeze ICEE are a theater-exclusive beverage at select cinema partners.

The Dippin’ Dots and ICEE offerings come after bubly debuted specialty Mario-inspired sparkling water flavors and color-changing cans. Additionally, several General Mills food brands offer Mario-inspired snack foods, cereal, and more. Many food brands anticipate that the Mario-themed food and beverage items will be an instant hit with fans.
