Marvel Studios returned to Hall H with exclusive footage, surprise guests, and major announcements that mapped out the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios reclaimed Hall H on Saturday with the biggest movie presentation of San Diego Comic-Con 2026, filling the room with exclusive footage, surprise appearances, and announcements that stretched the Marvel Cinematic Universe through 2028.
Led by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, the showcase featured an extended preview of Avengers: Doomsday, revealed Ryan Gosling as Marvel's new Ghost Rider, confirmed Ryan Coogler's return for Black Panther 3, and brought Jon Bernthal to the stage to discuss his role as Frank Castle in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
While the presentation covered multiple projects, Avengers: Doomsday dominated the evening as Marvel assembled one of the largest casts ever to appear together in Hall H.
Avengers: Doomsday Brings Marvel's Biggest Cast to Hall H
Feige welcomed directors Anthony and Joe Russo before introducing Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, James Marsden, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, and Tenoch Huerta Mejía.
Hayley Atwell also joined the panel, confirming she will reprise her role as Peggy Carter.
Downey, returning to the MCU as Victor von Doom after years portraying Tony Stark, helped create one of the presentation's defining moments when he invited fans to put on the Doctor Doom masks and cloaks distributed before the panel.
Within seconds, Hall H transformed into a sea of Doctor Doom as thousands of fans joined the moment together.
Marvel then debuted an extended look at the film exclusively for attendees. The footage remains unavailable online, making it one of Comic-Con's biggest in-room exclusives while teasing the collision of heroes from the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men universes.
The studio describes the film as bringing heroes from three universes together to face an existential threat unlike anything they have encountered before.
Along with the actors appearing onstage, the ensemble includes Chris Hemsworth, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, Kathryn Newton, Alan Cumming, and Mabel Cadena.
Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, with Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz producing.
Avengers: Doomsday opens exclusively in theaters on December 18, 2026.
Ryan Gosling Joins Marvel as Ghost Rider
After the Avengers: Doomsday panel, Feige confirmed that Marvel Studios has begun work on a new Ghost Rider film starring Ryan Gosling.
Gosling joined Feige onstage with director Shawn Levy, drawing one of the loudest reactions of the night. Jonathan Tropper is writing the screenplay, while Levy will direct after previously working with Marvel Studios on Deadpool & Wolverine.
The studio did not reveal additional cast members or story details, but confirmed the film is planned for theatrical release in 2028.
The project will bring Johnny Blaze back to the big screen following the two earlier films starring Nicolas Cage. Gabriel Luna later portrayed Robbie Reyes in Marvel Television's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Jon Bernthal Previews The Punisher's Spider-Man Role
Jon Bernthal also surprised Hall H, joining Feige to discuss his return as Frank Castle in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Bernthal spoke about bringing The Punisher into Spider-Man's next theatrical adventure before attendees watched an exclusive early look at the Sony Pictures release. The footage was not released online after the presentation.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Sadie Sink.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theaters on July 31, 2026.
Ryan Coogler Introduces the New Black Panther
Feige closed the presentation by welcoming Ryan Coogler back to Hall H for one final announcement.
Coogler confirmed he will return to write and direct Black Panther 3, continuing the story he began with Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Letitia Wright and Winston Duke joined Coogler onstage and confirmed the film will arrive in theaters on December 15, 2028.
Coogler then introduced David Jonsson, known for Alien: Romulus and Industry, as the new Black Panther.
Marvel did not reveal how Jonsson's character will inherit the mantle or how he will fit into the story alongside Wright's Shuri and Duke's M'Baku.
No additional cast members or story details were announced.
Marvel Leaves Hall H With Momentum
Marvel Studios used Hall H to celebrate what is coming later this year while also looking ahead to the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The presentation brought together one of Marvel's largest collections of actors ever assembled on a Comic-Con stage, delivered exclusive footage from Avengers: Doomsday, introduced Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider, confirmed Jon Bernthal's role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and revealed David Jonsson as the next Black Panther.
Although the exclusive footage remains available only to those who attended Hall H, the combination of major casting announcements, surprise appearances, and long-term plans for the MCU made Marvel Studios' presentation the defining movie event of San Diego Comic-Con 2026.
With Avengers: Doomsday arriving this December and new chapters now in development for Ghost Rider and Black Panther, Marvel Studios delivered a Hall H presentation that looked beyond one film and toward the franchise's next era.
