Fresh off receiving an Inkpot Award at San Diego Comic-Con, the legendary voice actor heads to Anaheim for appearances celebrating decades of Disney animation and music.
Jim Cummings, the legendary voice behind Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Darkwing Duck, Star Wars' Hondo Ohnaka and more than 1,500 other characters, is bringing his unmistakable voice to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend in Anaheim.
Cummings will appear during three events across Friday and Saturday, including "Making Disney Magic with Ron Clements" and two performances of the "Disney Rewind Concert," giving fans several opportunities to celebrate his decades of work in Disney animation.
On Friday, August 14, Cummings will join "Making Disney Magic with Ron Clements" from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. on the Walt Disney Archives Stage. The panel features acclaimed Disney Animation filmmaker Ron Clements, who will take fans behind the scenes of his new book, Making Disney Magic, alongside special guests connected to his four decades of animated films.
Cummings' work with Clements includes his performance as Ray, the charming Cajun firefly in The Princess and the Frog, along with roles in Aladdin, Hercules and Treasure Planet.
Cummings will also take part in the "Disney Rewind Concert" on the Premiere Stage on both Friday and Saturday. Friday's concert runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m., while Saturday's performance is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Billed as the ultimate throwback celebration of Disney hits from the 1980s and '90s, "Disney Rewind Concert" will spotlight music from the Disney Afternoon era and other fan favorites. Cummings was a major presence throughout the Disney Afternoon years, lending his voice to characters across many of the animated series that defined the beloved programming lineup.
He will be joined by Disney Animation and Broadway stars, including Disney Legends Bill Farmer and Jodi Benson and 2026 Disney Legend Susan Egan.
The D23 appearances come shortly after Cummings received one of Comic-Con International's prestigious Inkpot Awards. Presented during San Diego Comic-Con in late July, the award recognizes individuals for their contributions to comics, science fiction and fantasy, film, television, animation and fandom.
"I am truly humbled and blessed to receive such an incredible honor, and I proudly share it with my fans - who've always been so wonderfully supportive of my work," Cummings said.
With a career spanning more than four decades, Cummings has become one of the most recognizable voices in animation. He has performed more than 1,500 animated characters across nearly 200 films, 134 television series comprising more than 2,500 episodes, 175 video games and 25 animated shorts.
His work as Winnie the Pooh is particularly significant in 2026 as fans celebrate the 100th anniversary of A.A. Milne's beloved character. Cummings has voiced the iconic "Silly Ol' Bear" for decades, becoming one of the performers most closely associated with Pooh and his unmistakable voice.
Cummings' Disney work extends well beyond the Hundred Acre Wood. In addition to Pooh and Tigger, generations of fans know him as Darkwing Duck, Pete, Star Wars' Hondo Ohnaka and numerous other characters across Disney films, television series, games and attractions.
A two-time Annie Award winner and recipient of the Winsor McCay Award, Cummings also hosts Toon'd In! with Jim Cummings, where he shares behind-the-scenes stories, interviews animation industry veterans and offers fans a closer look at the world of voice acting.
Beyond entertainment, Cummings has dedicated significant time to charitable causes, particularly organizations supporting sick children. He has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, frequently using his recognizable characters and voices to bring happiness to young patients.
D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event runs August 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center, with Cummings appearing Friday during "Making Disney Magic with Ron Clements" and performing in the "Disney Rewind Concert" on Friday and Saturday.
