I'm here with Kurtis 50-cent Jackson and Gerard Butler respectively an outlaw and a regulator from Genevieve's thank you for taking time with us to be with us today Gerard I wouldn't ask you you've talked about how long this project has taken to come into fruition for various reasons at any point did you did you feel that that it might not happen funny first person asked that because there was a time I remember when it would be much I lived for three years in the company that it was with we're going bankrupt but he wouldn't let it go and we had a conversation where my guy said I think it's time to say goodbye and it would have been so much easier how can we say no to this movie we have to stick with it and and we did and and through I can't even tell you him years is just a you know a figure but the work they went in and the ups and the diamonds until finally we took it to another company and then it stops taking shape and then they go hey 50 cent was to do what what you know Pablo Schreiber something you start developing this great cast that is the best thing about doing what I do you know what we do you've seen these things come together and the harder they are to make the more you appreciate them the engine absolutely and Curtis you've said that you had read it you were familiar you saw the book the look book right and it was what five years later before it came to fruition because I when I was reading it I was just trying to differentiate from good material or bad because I was looking go ask my agents to give me whatever they feel like it's some of the best material that's out there the present moment so I can just read for my but personally so I can figure out how to have my finger on the pulse of what's going on and in the period that I was just reading for recreational purposes sir I was already reading it to actually me say those day and it was like that's the difference in same time for me but different roles right here you're just reading it essentially not much more involved beyond that or knowledgeable about it and then I was vocal about it cuz I ran into Tucker and I I mentioned that he was like hey like this Tucker's production partner with Gerard and on this project and I got a chance to work with them I got another actual series that I've developed with him on Starz Network Vanguard put him in Christian go to listen to the director so they'll see more from us I said one of our producers on this movie Mark cotton is a producer with you on the power who's also my producer on 300 he was the guy that sat me down and said this is where you go to see the Howard horn the head of Warner Bros as you sit down and facing until why you should be Leonidas you know as a crazy because I have to call him up Alan can I come in and see you and then we worked out this speech where I basically was like this is my destiny you gotta understand ever done in my life was to play this character you know so now it's all full circle we did this movie he's working with 50 it's kind of cool which is spectacular because you almost you see that intimacy not just the intimacy of the characters of between you guys but with the audience the way you're turning you know that I think that sets it apart from other films that have been like that and all the connections yeah it's really surprising I love that you say that because it's a lot of testosterone exciting movie it's that's gritty it looks so cool the story's very clever but it's surprisingly intimate as well and she's takes you by surprise and how funny it can be but also on how moving and bone they can be as well absolutely thank you so much appreciate it [Music] you
