Nightcrawler (2014)

Louis “Lou” Bloom is a petty thief in Los Angeles who stumbles into the world of freelance crime journalism after witnessing a night-time crash scene being filmed for local news. Fascinated by the hustle and the money, Lou reinvents himself as a stringer, chasing sirens and selling graphic footage to a TV station eager for sensational stories.  

As Lou's ambition grows, the line between observer and participant begins to disappear. With ratings, competition, and personal obsession driving him forward, he manipulates situations to get better footage, pulling everyone around him deeper into an escalating moral freefall.
