The Killer Synopsis
The Killer is a Hong Kong action thriller directed by John Woo, starring Chow Yun-fat as Ah Jong, a hitman who accidentally blinds an innocent singer during a shootout. Wracked with guilt, he takes on one final job to pay for her sight-restoring surgery. However, his plans are complicated when he forms an unlikely friendship with Li Ying (Danny Lee), the determined cop chasing him down. As their bond grows, both men are caught in a web of betrayal, honor, and explosive violence, leading to a tragic and unforgettable climax. The film is celebrated for its stylized action sequences, deep emotional themes, and its exploration of moral ambiguity.
