Kill Switch
From coal and fossil fuels to solar, wind and water there are numerous debates regarding how to save our planet....One company came up with a plan that seemed fantastic...if it seems too good to be true, it probably is and that is exactly what happens in Tim Smit’s directorial Debut, Kill Switch.
The Blacklist: The Complete Fourth Season
There is a lot going on in The Blacklist and sometimes I think some of the characters are underutilized, but the consistent story between Keene and Reddington is the underlying theme for this fascinating show.
Alien: Covenant
Alien: Covenant’s true heroes are not the xenomorph aliens, but the characters created by Scott and the actors’ performances as the colony just trying to survive the horrific events that have taken over their lives.
Snatched
The Snatched 4K Blu-ray has superior quality with the 2160p video and 2.40:1 aspect ratio. The Jungle scenes are especially lush and beautiful and the color palette jumps off the screen many times.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow: The Complete Second Season
DC's Legends of Tomorrow provides a smooth and easy to follow the storyline, the cast meshes and seamlessly works together. This is a family friendly television series that uses history, science, and sci-fi to provide a lot of conversation once the episode airs.
The Lincoln Lawyer
For a slightly older film, Lincoln Lawyer's video quality is pretty good. Some scenes seem a little grainy but otherwise, the colors and presentation are solid. The audio is excellent with ambient sounds coming clearly through the side and rear channels delegating the dialogue nicely to the center channel.
Everything, Everything
Everything, Everything isn’t for everyone. True romantics especially females in the 13-18 range will “get it” but grown men who watch Sunday Night football won’t. Overall, it’s a sweet story that is done well enough.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul is a cute movie, with a new cast, that flows the way the prior two movies in the franchise did. Aimed at the younger school age, it is a resourceful movie but the adults may crave a deeper philosophy than presented.
Riverdale: The Complete First Season
Drama, Drama, and more Drama ensue. There is blackmail, murder, perceived incest, implied incest, teenage angst and for good measure… “Dark Betty”. The scripts play out like a soap opera because that is what they basically are and things that you never see coming hit you like a ton of bricks.
