Harry Dean Stanton Dies at the Age of 91
Harry Dean Stanton, one of our most beloved character actors, has died.  He was 91.

Stanton has had a career spanning over 60 years.  Paris, Texas, Cool Hand Luke, Alien and Pretty in Pink. He recently reprised his role as Carl Rodd in Showtime's 2017 reboot of Twin Peaks. He also starred in Lucky, which will be released on September 29.

Stanton was born Kentucky in 1926. He was a World War II veteran who fought in the Battle of Okinawa. After the war, he found his passion in acting after being cast in a University of Kentucky production of Pygmalion.

His agent said in a statement, "In addition to his work as an actor, music was always a passion for Harry Dean. A very talented musician, his music career spanned decades entertaining thousands singing and playing the guitar, including his years of performances fronting the eclectic Harry Dean Stanton Band."
