Kathryn Newton is joining the cast of Radio Silence's latest film, a follow-up to their 2019 cult hit "Ready or Not", which grossed nearly $58 million. The film marks Newton's second collaboration with the directing duo, following their recent Universal horror flick, "Abigail".

The first "Ready or Not" followed the story of a newlywed bride (Weaving) as she navigated a deadly game orchestrated by her husband's (Mark O'Brien) wealthy, eccentric family (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell). What began as a time-honored tradition quickly spiraled into a bloody fight for her life.

Newton, who first gained recognition as Louise Brooks in HBO's Emmy-winning "Big Little Lies", has also starred in "Freaky", "Lisa Frankenstein", and the Oscar-winning "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri".

She joins Samara Weaving, who will reprise her role in the upcoming project, which will be helmed by "Ready or Not" directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Also back on board are the film's original screenwriters, Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.

Searchlight Pictures' VP of Production Richard Ruiz and Creative Executive Cornelia Burleigh are overseeing the project, reporting to Co-Heads of Production and Development DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas. Producing the film are Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, and William Sherak, with Chad Villella, Tara Farney, Greg Denny, Busick, and Murphy serving as executive producers.
