Lifelong best friends Jo and Raissa are on the verge of going their separate ways after high school, struggling with the reality that their bond may not survive the next chapter of their lives. But during one final night together, they stumble upon a mysterious portal that transports them to Nakali, a fantastical island filled with magical creatures drawn from the stories of their Filipino heritage.
As they navigate this vibrant but dangerous world alongside unexpected allies, including a well-meaning weredog named Raww, the friends must confront the terrifying Manananggal while uncovering the true cost of returning home. With their shared memories at stake, Jo and Raissa are forced to fight not just for survival, but for the friendship that defines who they are.
