Inspired by the true events behind The Facebook Files, The Social Reckoning follows Frances Haugen, a talented young engineer working at one of the world’s most influential social media companies. As she gains access to internal research and confidential information, Haugen becomes increasingly troubled by evidence suggesting the platform’s growth and engagement strategies may be causing widespread harm while company leaders continue to downplay the risks. Torn between her career, her conscience, and the potential consequences of speaking out, she faces a decision that could change her life forever.
Seeking a way to bring the truth to light, Haugen turns to Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz, who begins investigating the information she provides.
