FlickDirect, Jennifer Broderick

A graduate of The George Washington University and Nova Southeastern Law School Jennifer Fischer Broderick’s fascination with the movie world started when she first saw Snow White on the big screen as a young child. When the producers of the movie Annie held auditions in NYC, Jennifer stood on line in the cold to try out for a part and actually made it past the first few try-outs. A vivacious reader, she is fascinated watching books and stories brought to life on the big screen. Jennifer has passed her love of movies onto her children and they are often found planning their weekends around opening premieres.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword blurred the lines between fairytale and history making the audience think for itself. Watching King Arthur: Legend of The Sword is a visceral experience - one you won’t be able to tear your eyes away from.

Buster's Mal Heart
Jul 17, 2017
Honestly my immediate first impression, I thought this was a strange movie but I stuck it out and was absolutely blown away by the storyline.  Buster was a caring character, one I became invested in because I wanted him to have his land, get away from his nasty and mean mother-in-law, and get a job on the day shift.

Free Fire is about 90 minutes, which is long enough to provide a cohesive storyline without making the audience glance at their watch.  The film is an entertaining light action flick to add to your collection.

The Young Pope
Jun 05, 2017
The Young Pope is a must see from the beginning of the first episode. It starts off with a huge wow factor that causes one’s mouth to drop in utter fascination. While the season takes the wow factor down several notches each episode, the fascination remains, mostly because of Law’s performance.

Ex Machina

For the upgraded visual presentation alone, Ex Machina is a must-have to add to your collection.  In addition, the philosophical conversations between the characters bring this movie to a higher level than most simple plots.

Snitch
Jun 05, 2017
Lionsgate seems to put their all into their movies and the 4k UHD disc shows how much they care about the viewer's experiences. What struck me most is just how impressive the colors and details actually appear in comparison to Snitch’s 1080p HD counterpart, which was still a high quality.

The Space Between Us
May 15, 2017
Overall, The Space Between Us is a pleasant, family oriented film.  The ending is almost predictable and there are really no “surprises” in the movie, itself....This is a good and relaxing weekend afternoon movie to settle down with the family to watch.

La La Land
May 01, 2017
There is a reason that La La Land won so many Academy Awards and was a contender for Best Movie.  If you want to watch a movie that combines the old with the new, with actors that are reminiscent of a time of bygone years, yet dealing with present time problems, this is the movie for you.
