Ann Heche has succumbed to the injuries she sustained after a car crash on Friday, August 5. She was 53.
As reported earlier today, Heche was not expected to live and was going to be taken off of life support at a Los Angeles hospital. She suffered from a severe anoxic brain injury, which is complete oxygen deprivation to the brain. She also suffered from severe burns and lung damage.
Anne starred in many film and TV roles, including "Donnie Brasco," "Volcano," "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "Six Days Seven Nights," "Return to Paradise," the "Psycho" remake, "Wag the Dog", "Men in Trees," "Hung," "Aftermath", "The Brave", and "The Legend of Korra."
The actress dated Ellen DeGeneres from 1997-2000 before marrying cameraman Coleman Laffoon. They had one child and then divorced. She then married James Tupper, with whom she had another child. They divorced in 2018.
She is survived by her children, Atlas Heche Tupper and Homer Laffoon.
