DUMB MONEY: South Florida Advance Screenings Available

What happens when "the little guy" gets fed up with the 1%?  They do what some people would say is impossible.  They challenge the bigger guy to a fight and with sweat and determination, they, shockingly, win.  Of course, that only happens in the movies, right?  Not necessarily.  Just ask Game Stop.  In January of 2021, Keith Gill took on Wall Street and almost brought it to its knees. The new film, DUMB MONEY, based on the book The Antisocial Network, tells the story of how the little guys out-maneuvered the 1%.

Columbia Pictures, in conjunction with FlickDirect, would like to offer some individuals access to an advance screening of DUMB MONEY on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 7:30 pm at AMC Aventura (Miami) or Cinemark Place (Boca Raton) before it opens nationwide on September 22, 2023.

Dumb Money is the ultimate David vs. Goliath tale, based on the insane true story of everyday people who flipped the script on Wall Street and got rich by turning GameStop (yes, the mall videogame store) into the world's hottest company. In the middle of everything is regular guy Keith Gill (Paul Dano), who starts it all by sinking his life savings into the stock and posting about it. When his social posts start blowing up, so does his life and the lives of everyone following him. As a stock tip becomes a movement, everyone gets rich - until the billionaires fight back, and both sides find their worlds turned upside down.

Starring: Pete Davidson, Vincent D'Onofrio, America Ferrera, Nick Offerman, Anthony Ramos, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley, and Seth Rogen.

Directed by Craig Gillespie, written by Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo

Based on the book "The Antisocial Network" by Ben Mezrich
