As the home cooks dream of earning the coveted title, another signature challenge showcases their ability to follow, keep up, and execute Gordon Ramsay's signature dish. In this MasterChef: Global Gauntlet exclusive clip, 15 seconds can be the difference between victory and defeat.

With only three spots available at the end of this episode, the remaining home cooks face a daunting task. Even though they have mastered Mystery Boxes, The Wall, and a restaurant service, this challenge is harder than all of them. Any MasterChef fan knows that the "Keeping Up with Gordon" challenge is a true test of the cooks' ability to become a chef.

MasterChef Season 16, Episode 16 is "Keeping Up with Tiffany and Gordon." Like many aspects of this season, the "keeping up" episode is amplified. Before cooking along with Gordon, they must master Tiffany Derry's dish first.

For the four cooks who mastered that recipe, they face the daunting challenge of Gordon's signature lamb dish. As seen in the exclusive clip provided to FlickDirect, the final 15 seconds change everything.

Truthfully, the final 15 seconds cannot turn a bad dish into an acceptable one. No one can re-fire a lamb chop, remake the side, or fix a broken sauce. If those errors happened early in the cook, the dish is flawed.

The final 15 seconds test a cook's attention to detail. From proper plating to the finishing sauce, each element must be perfect. Even remembering to wipe the plate is important. Fifteen seconds go away in a blink, but a lot can be done or missed in those mere moments.

As seen in the video, each of the final four home cooks seemed to have moments of doubt. Whether it was not enough sauce on the plate, the lamb's temperature, or plating mistakes, no one is fully confident with their final dish. It could be the cook with the least errors who earns the win.

Based on the short clip, it seems that Peter might have the best plate of the final four. Even though he struggled in the restaurant challenge, he has been strong in other challenges. This "keeping up" moment could be his time to shine.

Julia has been flustered in recent challenges. While she was able to regroup in the restaurant challenge, she tends to lack confidence. If Julia keeps her focus and concentrates, she could earn a spot in the finale.

Heidi has lost her spark in recent episodes. When the season began, she appeared to be a favorite. Unfortunately, Heidi rushes and forgets some key components. This clip shows that she did not complete the sauce. That error might sound simple, but it is a huge mistake.

Lastly, Jake has been surging ahead at the end of the season. While his own dishes can be overly complicated, he follows recipes well. This challenge is a moment for him to surge to frontrunner status.
