Hey guys, how are you doing? So you have been having so much fun on this red carpet already Tell me what it was like making the movie. Oh, man. It was a blast. It was like adult summer camp, you know I really was I can't believe we were getting paid to do no. I know it was yeah It was it. No, it was amazing and as and to be part of like the first all Asian cast in 25 years in From a Hollywood studio since the Joy Luck Club.
It's I mean, it's definitely an honor constant party Sounds like fun. We can't wait for it. I know there was a little bit of controversy with the The casting I know I know Ken. It's just one of those things. I just don't like sit-ups. Okay But you got the bad boy, come on Anyway, so What do you want people to take away from this film in terms of a positive?
Asian, you know stereotypes and things like that Well, I think aside from like the positive Asian stereotypes I think that you know underneath it all this movie is a universal story about love about family about finding herself and About friendship as well. So, you know all of these tropes exist and and that's what makes it a really good movie That happens to be Asian, right?
So I think that you know while this while this is a very big moment for Asian Americans, you know We haven't had a representation proper representation in 25 years This will this will be for them, but it will be for everyone You know, this is a good enjoyable summer movie and I just really hope that everyone likes it So we can all relate because we all have crazy kind of families.
Absolutely I mean the movie is called crazy rich Asians, but everybody can go see this movie and and see themselves in these characters It could be crazy rich Latinos crazy rich black people. You know, it's just it's for everybody Great. Thank you guys. We are so excited. I can't wait after watching your little to banter on the carpet. Thanks. Thanks guys Thank you. “Crazy Rich Asians" follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu (Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. It turns out that he is not only the scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families but also one of its most sought-after bachelors.
