BASEketball (1998)

BASEketball Synopsis
When two lifelong slackers, Joe “Coop” Cooper (Trey Parker) and Doug Remer (Matt Stone), accidentally invent a new backyard sport that blends baseball and basketball, they stumble into overnight fame. What begins as a joke among friends becomes a cultural phenomenon, attracting media attention and corporate sponsorships. Soon, BASEketball is no longer just a silly pastime—it's a professional league with millions of fans.
But fame brings complications. As the league grows, greedy investors and corrupt executives try to control the game, pushing Coop and Remer to choose between friendship and profit. Alongside romantic entanglements and outlandish antics, the duo must protect their creation from becoming another soulless business. With outrageous comedy, slapstick gags, and biting satire, BASEketball skewers the commercialization of sports while delivering Zucker-style laughs.
