hey everybody i'm allison with flick direct and we are here for the premiere of Shazam and we'll be speaking to some of the cast members you were actually my very first on-camera interview so we're back again what's yeah kiss San Diego comic-con all right we got to talk about Shazam so tell me what was it like revisiting your inner teenager it's a scary place to go I mean look at these hooligans it was really fun I mean honestly you might have always been my inner teenager like I haven't grown out of it that's how I got the job I'm sure they were like who is this goofy dude who just likes to have fun and is kind of that has his rubber face and a lot of enthusiasm and I'd just been my nature always so it was very easy to tap into that and I'm really grateful that I got to play a role like this because they just don't really exist to be honest you know most adult superheroes are very intelligent serious characters and I kind of feel bad for the actors that that played them not that they got the job but that they don't get to be like they must be so stoked that they you know to be Batman but then they got to be the other Batman you know I said I got to be my enthusiastic crazy self every day so it was great excellent so you're kind of playing both sides of the coin here because you did a Marvel movie and now you've switched to do yeah well yeah well yeah well you know I mean look I had an amazing time working over in that other universe and I'm really grateful that they saw it in me to include me in that universe but he also saw fit to you know kill me in that universe so I'm really really grateful that DC said that's our guy we want him to be a franchise leading actor I can't like I count my blessings every day that this is what my life is right now fantastic thank you so much for your time what are we getting a chuck film and I'm working on nice to meet you so tell me what was it like helping Zach revisit his teenager so hard I'm kidding he was already he's already in tune with that I'm seriously if he's got it he's more kid than he has adults we don't even help it's kind of scary it is he's so not mature especially two interviews it's dangerous so was fun being upset with him so fun oh yeah he has like the cig maker that he brings us that every day and just blast girly music so did you know the comics before you took the role I was aware of they existed I didn't read them or anything until our audition and then I wanted to you know take a deep dive into that yeah I was I wasn't familiar with it now so I read the script and then once the comics are and you loved it I loved it it's like such an amazing story well thank you guys we can't wait to see it thanks [Music]
