Decades after Cole Trickle first made his name behind the wheel in NASCAR, the fearless driver returns to a sport transformed by new technology, new competitors, and a new generation determined to make its own mark. His path brings him together with an accomplished race team owner and engineer as the relentless pursuit of speed once again pulls Cole into the demanding world that defined his life.

Plot details remain closely guarded, but the new Days of Thunder will return to the culture, teamwork, danger, and adrenaline of NASCAR racing while exploring the people whose lives revolve around the sport. Tom Cruise reprises his role as Cole Trickle alongside Anne Hathaway in the long-awaited follow-up, directed by Jonathan Levine and produced by Cruise, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Tommy Harper.
