hi I'm Allison with FlickDirect and I am here with Diego calva to talk about Babylon hello sir how are you good good thank you so I know how I would describe Manny he's very layered and humble but ambitious so I'm curious how you would describe him I think he's a dreamer he he has like Great Expectations but more than humble I will say he's a hard worker he's open to do anything for his Dreams yeah absolutely I agree with that wholeheartedly I'm curious do you think he would have taken the path he took if he had not met Nelly was she his motivation for becoming an executive in the studio I think it's part of the motivation but the the Genesis like the the the the the seed was the love of movies and wanted to be part of that world and he doesn't care about what he's going to do he could bring the coffee or to be the sound knocks like he just wanted to be inside of the movies how do you feel about that being an actor well I worked in a lot of different areas in the in the movies into movie making I started movie making so acting was just like them the opening door to be part of this party I guess excellent uh we're talking about working with Brad pennies what was it like going in there I mean on the poster you're number three above Gene Smart that's pretty damn good I don't know if I deserve them you do go in with it yes I deserve that it was amazing I mean jean jeans Mark is next level she's so funny so dedicated and I really believe that that working with Margo and Damian at the same time made me an actor like made me grow a lot as an actor you know because both are like the big leagues but also the most hard working people you will ever met for sure not a bad experience I'm sure so I walked out of this movie with numerous adjectives on my brain I'm curious what adjectives you might use to describe this film well I think Babylon is a love letter to movies a radiography about the industry but also like like the message for me in a way is like followed your dreams but there's always a cost a price you know life is not black and white so if you want something you're gonna pay for it in a way once he got what he wanted and then he left and came back and looked at the studio with the you know his daughter and his wife do you think he felt satisfied with where his life headed I think uh I wish life would be like a like the movies you know like happy ending song or good and bad persons but the man gave me the most beautiful Direction and the most hard Direction I ever had and he said the audience have to re-watch the movie In Your Eyes and in a way it's like watching your own life you know so I think it's not like a happy or a bad feeling it's just like feeling it yes very lots of overwhelming emotions yeah I can understand that well thank you so much the movie is like I said I had tons of adjectives to describe it good luck with the film thanks for talking with us today
