Rent Synopsis
Based on Jonathan Larson's Tony-winning Broadway phenomenon, Rent follows a group of struggling artists in New York City's East Village during the late 1980s. Mark (Anthony Rapp), Roger (Adam Pascal), Mimi (Rosario Dawson), Angel (Wilson Jermaine Heredia), and their friends face love, loss, and the realities of living under the shadow of the HIV/AIDS crisis while chasing their creative dreams.
As a new year approaches, they fight to stay true to themselves and each other amid poverty, addiction, and uncertainty. With unforgettable songs like “Seasons of Love,” Rent celebrates life, friendship, and the enduring message to live—no day but today.
