Synopsis of Ride Along 2 (2016)

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube lead the returning lineup of Ride Along 2, the sequel to the blockbuster action-comedy that gave us the year’s most popular comedy duo. Joining Hart and Cube for the next chapter of the series are director Tim Story, as well as Cube’s fellow producers—Will Packer, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner—who will produce alongside Cube.

If you take Ride Along 2 for what it is…a fun non-thinking every-man's movie, it isn’t terrible.  The plot is thin and recycled and the acting is less than Oscar worthy, but there are a few laughs that make the movie watchable.

The original Ride Along film was a quirky buddy-cop film that was a nice change of pace from what was currently out there; however, in Ride Along 2, the plot lost it’s spark.
